Occupational Health And Safety Policy

In Samtel, occupational health and safety management regulations and standards are strictly applied. The procedures are periodically reviewed and continuous improvement is ensured by monitoring the performances. All local and national laws, regulations and standards regarding occupational health and safety are complied with, and we act in accordance with the recommendations of the multinational companies we work with.

All risks regarding occupational diseases, occupational health and safety are evaluated and protective measures are taken. The effects of new products, facilities and processes in terms of occupational diseases, occupational health and safety are evaluated at the project stage. With the participation of all employees, dangers are eliminated at their source and zero work accidents and occupational diseases are targeted. In case of any accident or emergency that may occur during our activities, systems are developed to minimize our losses. In order to achieve success and continuous improvement, our employees and managers are trained on occupational health and safety, traffic and safe driving, and they are encouraged to be fit and healthy. Samtel monitors and ensures the implementation of general occupational health and safety policies as an integral part of company culture and working life. Occupational safety, the safety of the employee is of the highest importance and ensures that all PPE equipment is robust, healthy and up-to-date in accordance with the OHS regulation. Understanding, adopting, applying and supervising all legal standards is the primary duty of all our employees. Applicable laws, regulations and standards will be strictly complied with. A healthy, safe and clean working environment will be provided to our employees. All health, safety and environmental risks arising from our activities will be determined, root causes will be examined and preventive measures and programs will be implemented decisively in order to reduce these risks to the lowest acceptable level. Practices will be result-oriented and will be constantly questioned and improvements will be made. Suggestions made by our employees on health, safety and environment will be carefully evaluated and those that are deemed appropriate will be put into practice immediately.

Samtel is a company operating in the field of telecommunication, installing and commissioning telecom equipment in indoor and outdoor areas, FO cable underground and surface excavation and assembly works for internet infrastructure works.

As a company policy, it has a management approach that gives utmost importance to human health, business safety, protection of the environment, individual rights and freedoms and always prioritizes these principles. It is ensured that all employees, along with our suppliers and subcontractors, comply with the quality, health, safety and environmental standards in a determined, meticulous and uncompromising manner.

In our policy, “Customer Satisfaction” always comes first. Acting with this awareness both as management and as employees, it aims to achieve this satisfaction by realizing timely work delivery within the framework of quality, environment and OHS regulations and standards. While doing all this, within the scope of protecting the environment and nature, our solid wastes are not left on the field, by cleaning the environment at the end of the work, and keeping the solid wastes in our warehouse and delivering them to authorized solid waste collection companies. Likewise, we deliver our solid wastes generated in our offices and warehouses to these companies. It is to ensure that the oil and periodic maintenance are carried out on time so that the exhaust gases from our vehicles do not harm the environment, and to keep them at the minimum level (at the level stipulated by the environmental regulation). In the same way, in order not to cause noise pollution, not to talk loudly in and around the office, not to keep vehicles in working condition, to do mechanical work away from residential areas.
